League 1: The Human Face of Nickelodeon

If you are reading this and you are about my age, and your family had some money, and you weren't anywhere crazy (as in, outside the United States), then Nickelodeon was likely a crucial part of your childhood. Who didn't want to be a member of the Midnight Society? Who didn't hold Camp Anawanna in their hearts? Who didn't want to date/be Alex Mack?

These questions and more (wha-wha-what would you do?) have led us to create this bracket to determine which human representative of Nickelodeon reigns supreme:




Who will move one and who will be left getting slimed? I don't know!

    This is going to be tough....Marc Summers was Mr. Nickelodeon, but who didn't love Melissa Joan Hart as Clarissa.....why didn't Amanda Bynes make the list? Before she went cray cray she was good on All That...her and that Lori Beth girl.

    A lot of good people didn't make the cut. I was personally upset about Donkey Lips, but Salute Your Shorts already had 2. Other notables that almost made the cut: Artie, Mike O' Malley and Mo. Hard to get it down to 8. Lori Beth was hilarious, but I thought Roundhouse was better than All That.

    I vote in favor of Clarissa. She EXPLAINS IT ALL. Meaning EVERYTHING. Think about it. She is where people turn to when they need important life questions answered...which makes her sort of like the internet BEFORE THE INTERNET. Nobody else on the list carries that kind of weight in importance. She is like Siri, and Al Gore, and Ask Jeeves(RIP), and a Google-Bing hybrid lovechild, and that stupid paperclip thing from Microsoft word all rolled into one.

    Is it weird that I don't even know who Sardo is?

    Notable omissions - Sam from Clarissa explains it all, ANY of their cartoon characters (Tommy Pickles? Rocko? Stimpy? DOUG AND/OR QUAILMAN?) You should be ashamed of yourselves.

    I'm going to give it to Omar though, that guy knew how to make me want to smash RC cars with a rubber mallet.

    Ryan, good news. League 2 for this bracket is Animated Characters and many of the people you mentioned will be in it. Omec was in the running, especially because Kevin loves Legends of the Hidden Temple. It was close.

    I don't know who #6 Sardo is, so I'm just gonna go ahead and assume based on his picture that he keeps the souls of children he's murdered inside that little wooden box he's holding. Is that accurate?

    Sardo was one of the rare reoccuring characters in Are You Afraid of the Dark stories. He did a variety of things Carrie. So are you accurate, no. Are you far off, not really. *Serious note- The wooden box was a door that lead to another magic door that a boy uses to save the new girl*
